THE PRINCIPLE
Titanium brings together CARMIDE’s most original works: contemporary figures that do not reproduce models from the past, but absorb their proportions, symbolism and formal tension to create new sculptures.
The classical reference does not disappear: it changes state. It becomes presence, gesture and idea.
THE TITANIUM LANGUAGE
Titanium works arise from the meeting of timeless symbols and a contemporary gaze. The Buddha with lotus flower is one example: a figure inspired by a universal imagery, reinvented in a new form that is more essential, youthful and physical.

Finally whole, finally himself. In this work, the angel breaks with the idea of the sexless creature and recovers his wholeness. Young, male and free to reveal himself without veils or shame, he welcomes the viewer with an open, joyful gesture, like a presence finally at home on earth among human beings.
